CIC on Emergency Systems and Procedures 2019

The Member Authorities of the Tokyo MOU carried-out a concentrated inspection campaign on Emergency Systems and Procedures jointly with the Paris MoU between 1st September 2019 and 30th November 2019.   During the CIC, Member Authorities verified vital points of compliance in accordance with Emergency systems and procedures on all types of foreign merchant ships.

CIC on MARPOL Annex VI 2018

The Member Authorities of the Tokyo MOU carried-out a concentrated inspection campaign onMARPOL Annex VI jointly with the Paris MoU between 1st September 2018 and 30th November 2018.   During the CIC, Member Authorities assessed shipboard compliance with the MARPOL Annex VI requirements concerning air pollution.

CIC on Safety of Navigation 2017

The Member Authorities of the Tokyo MOU carried-out a concentrated inspection campaign on Safety of Navigation jointly with the Paris MoU between 1st September 2017 and 30th November 2017.   During the CIC, Member Authorities focussed on compliance with areas specified by the CIC including ECDIS requirements during PSC inspections.

CIC on Cargo Securing Arrangements 2016

The Member Authorities of the Tokyo MOU carried out a concentrated inspection campaign on Cargo Securing Arrangements from the 1st September 2016 through the 30th November 2016.  The purpose and goal of the CIC was to gain knowledge on the compliance of ships with applicable Cargo Securing requirements and to assess the overall safety of ships and seafarers engaged in cargo securing operations.

CIC on Crew Familiarization for Enclosed Space Entry 2015

TheTokyo Memorandum of Understanding (TMoU) on Port State Control (PSC) has completed a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) focusing on compliance with Crew Familiarization for Enclosed Space Entry. This is in accordance with the decision of the Port State Control Committee at its 25th meeting in Queenstown, New Zealand in 2014. The CIC on Crew Familiarization for Enclosed Space Entry was conducted over the period of September 1 through to November 30, 2015. The CIC was completed alongside similar campaigns conducted by the members States of five other PSC agreements/understandings: The Paris Memorandum of Understanding (PMoU) on PSC; the Viña del Mar Agreement, the Indian Ocean Memorandum of Understanding (IOMoU), the Mediterranean Memorandum of Understanding (MedMoU), and the Black Sea Memorandum of Understanding (BSMoU).

CIC on STCW Hours of Rest 2014

The Tokyo MOU on Port State Control (TMOU) has now completed a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) focusing on the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1979 (the STCW Code) Hours of Rest. The CIC was conducted over the period September 1 through to November 30 2014. The CIC was completed primarily alongside the member States of the Paris MOU on Port State Control (PMOU), however members from the Viña del Mar Agreement, the Indian Ocean MOU (IOMOU), the Mediterranean MOU (MedMOU) and the Black Sea MOU (BSMOU) also undertook STCW Code CIC inspections. Results for the Paris MOU Maritime Authorities are documented separately.

CIC on Propulsion and Auxiliary Machinery 2013

The Tokyo MOU on Port State Control (TMOU) carried out a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Propulsion and Auxiliary Machinery between September 1 and November 30 2013 with the Paris MOU on Port State Control (PMOU). The Viña del Mar Agreement, the Indian Ocean MOU, the Mediterranean MOU and the Black Sea MOU also took part in this Concentrate Campaign.  During the campaign, 19 TMOU and 27 PMOU member states focused on compliance with SOLAS Chapter II-1 requirements on inspected ships.  This report documents the results of the campaign for the TMOU Maritime Authorities. Results for the Paris MOU Maritime Authorities are documented separately.

CIC on Fire Safety System 2012

The Tokyo MOU on Port State Control (TMOU) carried out a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) with the Paris MOU on Port State Control (PMOU) on fire safety systems between September 1 and November 30, 2012.   During the campaign, 18 TMOU and 27 PMOU member states focussed on compliance with SOLAS Chapter II-2 requirements on inspected ships.  This report documents the results of the campaign for the TMOU Maritime Authorities. Results for the PMOU Maritime Authorities are documented separately.
